mene mene tekel, 2026 - Christuskirche Tutzing
Während der internationalen Künstlerresidenz der Stadt München in der Villa Waldberta in Feldafing am Starnberger See entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit der Christuskirche in Tutzing die Lichtinstallation 'mene mene tekel'.
Der Aufenthalt in der Villa Waldberta dauert drei Monate und wird von verschiedenen Veranstaltungen begleitet wie zum Beispiel ein Kunstgottesdienst, ein Gesprächsabend mit Vorstellung der Arbeiten von Johannes Pfeiffer und dem Open Studio.

Metamorphose III. Akt, 2025 - Städtische Galerie Tuttlingen
Die im Jahr 2003 in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Forstamt Tuttlingen zur kleinen Landesgartenschau entstandene Arbeit 'Waldlabyrinth' hat Pfeiffer 2019 anlässlich der Ausstellung Donaugalerie zur Installation 'Metamorphose' umgestaltet. Am 11. November 2025 wurde die Arbeit 'Metamorphose' im Rahmen einer Finissage durch Feuer beendet. Die METAMORPHOSE von Johannes Pfeiffer ist ein Projekt der Donauentwicklung der Stadt Tuttlingen.

Broken Vision, 2023 - Museum Villa Rot
The installation 'Broken Vision' was conceived for the exhibition 'The Glass View' at the Villa Rot Museum.
The work consists of many mirror strips that interrupt the view but still allow you to see the whole. Broken Vision is set up in the small concert hall of the Villa Rot Museum.
The exhibition runs until February 11, 2024. The curator is Dr. Sabine Heilig.

Etna Eternal Flame 2023
An exhibition organized by Oriana Tabacco of the Associazione Culturale Basaltika and curated by Ysabel Pinyol Blasi, director of the Monira Foundation New York.
The work 'Prometheus' was created on the cooled lava flow from the 2001 eruption at an altitude of 2000 meters in a small canyon.
The installation shows transience and fragility in dialogue with the primal force of the volcano.

Vita, 2023 - Church of Spirito Santo Govone (Piedmont)
On May 28th, the installation 'Vita' was opened in the royal church Chiesa dello Spirito Santo in Govone, Piedmont. The work was created as part of the exhibition 'Biodiversità', organized by the Associazione Creativamente Roero. The art installation can be seen and visited.

The 36 meter high tower was built in 1340. After the wooden foundations began to rot in the swampy ground,
the tower began to lower. Today it tilts 2.02 meters to the north-northwest, which corresponds to an inclination of 3.3°.
The artist tied the tower to the city wall with 100 white cords to indicate this condition.
His works are about the precarious balance of things, of life in general. The cords provide the connection
between the materially tangible and the immaterial. These threads, which act like rays of light, span an arc
between spirit and matter. A number of graphic editions were created on the subject.

Bienal de Arte Contemporanea SACO1.0 Antofagasta Chile 2021
Die Installation 'La memoria de las piedras' entstand anlässlich der 1. Biennale Zeitgenössischer Kunst in Antofagasta in der Wüste im Norden Chiles.
Herabgestürzte Felsen habe ich mit rotem Stoff bezogen. Diese Formen wurden anschließend in den Sitio Zero im Hafen von Antofagasta gebracht und dort neu aufgebaut.

Klangschwellen, 2021
Zur Ausstellung Standort_Bestimmung in Jamlitz entstand die Arbeit 'Klangschwellen' auf den Gleisen des ehemaligen Verschiebebahnhofs Lieberose.
Die Installation Klangschwellen besteht aus 3 Elementen. Jedes Element besteht aus einem Türrahmen aus Rundstahl, an dessen oberer Traverse ein verkohlter und ausgehöhlter Stamm hängt. Der Stamm gibt beim Anschlagen mit einem Schlegel einen Klang ab. Dumpf, düster und bedrohlich.
Die Installation wird zwischen den zurückgebliebenen Bahnschwellen des ehemaligen Bahnhofs von Lieberose montiert. Der Bahnhof selber hat eine düstere Geschichte als Verschiebebahnhof, als Ausgangspunkt für die Deportation von Juden in das KZ Sachsenhausen. Das habe ich bei meiner Ortsbegehung sehr stark gespürt und deshalb habe ich mir den Bahnhof und dessen Geschichte zum Thema gemacht.
Schwelle, Türschwelle, Bahnschwelle, Klangschwelle. Die Schwelle als Trennlinie für den Übergang von einem Zustand in einen anderen. Selbst wenn unsere Körper stehen bleiben sollten, der Klang schwingt weiter, zusammen mit unseren Gedanken. So sind diese Schwellen nur der Ausgangspunkt für Erinnerung, Reflektion und Gedenken. Ausgangspunkt zum Weitergehen.

Pèire que préiquen - Steine, die sprechen, 2020
Monterosso - Terra del Castelmagno
Installation am Fuße der alten Steinbrüche von S. Pietro Monterosso. In 10 übereinanderliegenden Steinbrüchen wurden jahrhundertelang Steine aus steil abfallenden Brüchen im Berg geborgen.
